Viewers
For different productive viewers, these documents cover
- the baseline (in terms of available data and motivation),
- the process of making data available as map services following the Viewer Procedure
- the creation and editing of viewer frontends as described in the user and configuration manuals
The backend tasks (data management, map service creation) will be described but usually remain theoretical for the reader. However, the resulting map services actually exist and their layers can be used to reproduce the viewer creation/configuration on your own using an O2A Portal.
All steps are in line with the according parts of the O2A documentation, especially the Viewer Procedure, and the viewer configuration manual.
These are not a click-by-click manuals. The focus is on reasons and decisions. However, there are links to the relevant manual sections, helping the reader to recreate the viewers on their own. For the sake of simplicity, some details of the productive viewers might be left out and the process itself will be described in an idealised way.

This use case lets you recreate the viewer used in the Sea Ice Portal on your own.
Antarctic Animal Tracking
This use case lets you create an advanced version of the Marine Mammals viewer on your own.
