
Avoiding pitfalls with dataset IDs by understanding the underlying concept.

Starting in February 2026 there will be a monthly seminar about components of or topics related to O2A. The seminars will be accompanied by several workshops.

This post shows some ways to work with dataset IDs via STREAMS API. It covers as well the retrieval of metadata and context information as well as the download of measurement data.

The NRT database will be migrated. Therefore some services will be interrupted for a while, but in the aftermath new tools with better performance and new challenges will be available for the daily work.

While the exchange format NRT v2 is in use for over five years already it was just more or less unofficially documented. This changed today.

O2A REGISTRY comes along with a powerful API. It still incorporates some API endpoints that belong the predecessor. These endpoints will be shut down soon.
